Payment Policy

How payments for the Baby Steps Daily child-development subscription are processed and secured.

This Payment Policy explains how payments are processed for the Baby Steps Daily paid digital subscription (daily child-development email recommendations). It should be read together with the Public Offer Agreement and the Refund Policy.

1. Product and currency

  • Product: paid digital subscription to personalized daily child-development tips, delivered by email.
  • Settlement currency: Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH).
  • Subscription price (current plan): {{SUBSCRIPTION_PRICE}} (TODO: replace with current published price).
  • The exact amount, billing period and any trial duration are shown on the checkout page before payment confirmation.

2. Accepted payment methods

  • Visa — credit and debit cards.
  • Mastercard — credit and debit cards.
  • LiqPay — payment via the LiqPay payment page (PrivatBank), including supported wallets and bank methods available there.
  • WayForPay — payment via the WayForPay payment page, including supported wallets and bank methods available there.

The actual list of methods available at checkout depends on the payment provider selected by the Seller in the platform’s settings (LiqPay or WayForPay) and on the methods enabled by that provider.

3. Payment processing and card data

  • Payment is processed by the selected payment provider (LiqPay or WayForPay).
  • To complete the payment, the user may be redirected to a secure payment page operated by the provider.
  • The website does not store the full card number, the CVV/CVC, or the full card expiry date.
  • Only a non-sensitive token returned by the payment provider, together with the masked card number (for example, “4149 ** ** 1234”), is stored. The token is used solely to perform recurring charges and to assist customer support.
  • All payments are transmitted over an encrypted SSL/TLS connection.

Card details are entered on the payment provider’s secure page (LiqPay or WayForPay), which is PCI DSS compliant. Baby Steps Daily never sees the full card number or the CVV.

4. First payment

  • If a trial period of {{TRIAL_PERIOD}} is enabled, the first charge is performed automatically at the end of the trial, unless the subscription is cancelled before then.
  • If no trial is offered, the first charge is performed immediately when the order is confirmed.
  • The first charge equals the subscription price for the selected plan, in UAH.

5. Recurring payments

Automatic recurring charges

This subscription includes automatic recurring payments. By confirming payment, you authorize recurring charges according to the selected billing period until you cancel the subscription.

  • Billing period: {{BILLING_PERIOD}} (TODO: real billing period).
  • Each new billing period is charged automatically using the saved card token, in UAH, at the price displayed on the checkout page (and in the subscription confirmation email).
  • You will be notified of upcoming renewals by email before the charge.
  • You can review the next renewal date in your subscription management page.

6. Trial period

  • Trial duration: {{TRIAL_PERIOD}} (TODO: real trial length).
  • To start a trial, the payment provider performs a card verification / token capture. No charge is made during the trial unless explicitly indicated on the checkout page.
  • You may cancel the subscription at any time before the trial ends to avoid the first paid charge.

7. Failed payments

  • If a recurring charge fails (insufficient funds, expired card, bank decline, etc.), the system may automatically retry the charge within a reasonable number of attempts.
  • During this period, access to the Service may be suspended.
  • If the charge ultimately fails, the subscription is automatically cancelled and access ends.
  • You may resume the subscription at any time by completing a new order.

8. Cancellation

  • You may cancel the subscription at any time, without giving reasons, from the subscription management page accessible via the link in any subscription email, or by writing to {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}}.
  • Cancellation stops all future recurring charges.
  • Access to the Service remains until the end of the current paid period, unless immediate termination is requested.

9. Receipts and invoices

After each successful payment, you receive an email confirmation containing the order ID, the transaction ID, the amount, the currency (UAH), the payment date, and the payment method (masked card). If you need a formal invoice for accounting purposes, please contact {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}}.

10. Refunds

Refund eligibility, procedure and timelines are described in the Refund Policy. Refunds are processed by the same payment provider that captured the charge and are returned to the original payment method.

11. Disputes and chargebacks

If you believe you were charged incorrectly, please contact us first at {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}} before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We are committed to resolving payment questions fairly and quickly.
